Poland is reporting a series of tragic accidents involving children and young users of electric scooters. In Jedlicze, a three-year-old boy died in a Rzeszów hospital after being struck by a teaching ambulance during a medical first-aid demonstration at a local kindergarten. The incident, which occurred on October 19, was organized by students and faculty from the State University of Applied Sciences in Krosno. The District Prosecutor's Office in Krosno is investigating the matter for potential endangerment and unintentional causing of serious bodily harm; the ambulance driver and two kindergarten teachers were questioned as witnesses.

Separately, authorities in the Silesia region have noted a rise in electric scooter accidents. Since the beginning of 2026, 87 accidents involving electric scooters have been recorded in the Silesian Voivodeship, resulting in 88 injuries and two deaths. Police in Katowice and medical teams in Chorzów have issued appeals to parents to ensure children understand traffic regulations and use protective gear. In the Łódź region, recent accidents involving teenagers on electric scooters have also resulted in hospitalizations, including a head injury sustained by a teenager in Ksawerów.
