Electric vehicle infrastructure expands across Italy

Electric vehicle adoption in Italy is seeing continuous growth, supported by an expanding network of public charging points which has now exceeded 78,000 units nationwide.

While the distribution of infrastructure remains uneven, with Lombardy leading the country with over 17,000 installations, the Lazio region is also a significant contributor with nearly 7,000 points. This expansion is facilitating a shift in daily mobility habits, particularly for urban commuters who benefit from the predictability of daily mileage and the ability to charge vehicles at home or during stationary periods.
