Electrical material prices reach record highs in Denmark

Prices for electrical materials have reached record highs, according to data from Danmarks Statistik reported by Tekniq. In the second quarter of the year, material prices continued an upward trend, increasing by more than one-third over the last five years.

This surge is partly driven by a 46 percent increase in global copper prices over the past year. Maria Schougaard Berntsen, deputy director at Tekniq, noted that copper price volatility is linked to global market unrest and trade tensions involving the United States. These rising costs are expected to be passed on to customers, potentially discouraging new construction and renovation projects due to budget uncertainty.
