ElectroMobility Poland and Foxconn advance electric vehicle hub

ElectroMobility Poland is advancing plans to establish an electric vehicle manufacturing hub in Jaworzno, Poland. The project is being developed through a joint venture with Taiwan’s Foxconn (Hon Hai Technology Group) and Foxtron Vehicle Technologies. Negotiations to finalize the joint venture are expected to conclude by autumn 2024.

The initiative has secured 4.5 billion PLN in funding from the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management, which has already been credited to the company's account. The project aims to achieve a 70 percent local content rate and includes a significant transfer of technology and knowledge to develop domestic engineering and research capabilities.

Construction of the facility is scheduled to begin in spring 2027, with the first electric vehicle expected to roll off the assembly line in 2029. As the project gains momentum, ElectroMobility Poland has begun recruiting specialists for various roles, including IT infrastructure, logistics, and production planning.
