Electronic Arts unveils EA SPORTS FC 27 features and soundtrack

Electronic Arts has announced several major updates for the upcoming release of EA SPORTS FC 27, scheduled for a worldwide launch on September 25, 2026, with early access beginning September 18.

A central feature of this installment is the official soundtrack, which includes 120 tracks from artists across 36 countries. The playlist, available on Spotify, features established acts like The Strokes, Interpol, and The Neighbourhood, alongside unreleased music from Cage The Elephant and Mura Masa. The soundtrack aims to serve as a cultural touchpoint, connecting global football communities through music.

Gameplay and structural changes include the introduction of ‘The Grounds’, a new open-world social hub divided into three districts inspired by English, French, and Argentine football cultures. The game also features significant technical overhauls, including improved attacking spatial awareness, a new dribbling system, and a rebuilt Career Mode transfer market.

Licensing updates include the return of Mexico’s Liga MX with all 18 clubs, the inclusion of S.S. Lazio, and new partnerships with Aston Villa and Liverpool FC. The game will also feature digitally recreated versions of iconic stadiums such as Emirates Stadium and MHPArena. Additionally, EA is introducing ‘FC 27 Lite’, a free downloadable version that allows players to access limited content like Kick-Off mode to test the experience before committing to a full purchase.
