EA Sports FC 27 launches globally with new social hub

Electronic Arts has officially launched EA Sports FC 27 globally across consoles, PC, and Nintendo platforms. The new title introduces ‘The Grounds’, an open-world social football hub where up to 100 players can interact, participate in street football matches, and engage in mini-games.

Key gameplay updates include a revamped Manager Career mode featuring a more realistic transfer market with active bidding and performance-based clauses, as well as a Dynamic OVR system that adjusts player ratings based on real-world form and fitness. The Football Ultimate Team mode also receives updates, including the ‘Destined for Glory’ promotion featuring players like Kylian Mbappé.

To increase accessibility, EA has released EA Sports FC 27 Lite, a free version with limited modes and teams. While the launch brings significant tactical improvements, some players have reported initial issues regarding server stability and AI pathing.
