ELGA extends 2025 insurance contribution deadline to October 30

The Hellenic Agricultural Insurance Organization (ELGA) has announced an extension for the payment of the 2025 Special Insurance Contribution. Following a decision by the organization's Board of Directors and a Joint Ministerial Decision from the Ministries of Rural Development and Food and Finance, the new deadline for settlement is Friday, October 30, 2026.

This extension applies to the 2025 insurance contributions, which were originally due by July 31, 2026. Timely payment is a mandatory legal requirement for producers to remain eligible for insurance compensations. Specifically, this affects those seeking payouts through the ‘Proanthiko 2025’ program and other remaining compensations for damages recorded during 2025.

ELGA has begun notifying insured producers via SMS to remind them that failure to settle these obligations by the October 30 deadline will result in the loss of rights to receive compensation for damages incurred during that year.
