Eliseo Ninco Páez captured in Neiva for alleged FARC dissident logistics
Colombian authorities have captured Eliseo Ninco Páez, known as alias ‘Cheo’, in Neiva, Huila. Ninco Páez is identified as a logistics leader for the Iván Díaz front, which belongs to the Jorge Suárez Briceño block of FARC dissidents.
According to judicial orders, the suspect is accused of several crimes, including simple kidnapping, qualified and aggravated theft, and the illegal trafficking and possession of firearms and ammunition. Investigators state that Ninco Páez played a strategic role in providing weaponry and financial support to the armed group.
Authorities further allege that the suspect coordinated extortion schemes targeting local merchants and business owners. This included the reported use of explosive devices against commercial establishments to pressure individuals into making payments. Following the arrest, the suspect was placed at the disposal of the Attorney General's Office.
