Ellie Taylor hosts revamped Strictly spin-off It Takes Two

Strictly Come Dancing It Takes Two Ellie Taylor BBC Two television format change

The Strictly Come Dancing spin-off, It Takes Two, has returned for its 2026 series with a new host and format changes. Comedian and former contestant Ellie Taylor has taken over hosting duties from Fleur East and Janette Manrara.

Taylor has introduced several updates, including a Monday panel featuring former contestants and professionals. However, the new format has drawn mixed reactions from viewers. A primary change involves interviewing celebrity contestants separately from their professional dance partners, rather than as couples.

While some viewers have welcomed Taylor's hosting, others have criticized the decision to exclude professional dancers from the interviews on social media, arguing that the chemistry between partners is a central element of the show.
