Ellie Taylor hosting roles for Strictly Come Dancing

Overview

Comedian Ellie Taylor has taken on new hosting roles within the BBC’s ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ programming. Initially, it was announced that Taylor would temporarily replace Emma Willis on her BBC Radio 2 Saturday lunchtime show to allow Willis to focus on the 2026 series of the dance competition.

Taylor was also confirmed as the new host of the companion series, ‘It Takes Two’, succeeding Janette Manrara and Fleur East. Following the launch of the 2026 series, the spin-off show introduced format changes, such as a Monday panel of former contestants and a new interview style where celebrity contestants are interviewed separately from their professional partners. These changes have resulted in mixed viewer reactions, with some social media users criticizing the exclusion of professional dancers from interviews.
