ELPEN invests 80 million euros in biotechnology at Spata

ELPEN is investing 80 million euros in Spata to establish the Athens LifeTech Park, a move that signals a broader shift in the Greek pharmaceutical industry toward research, technology, and biotechnology.

The LifeTech Park is designed to expand the company's scope beyond traditional drug manufacturing into life sciences through three main pillars: a Biotech Incubator providing labs and expertise for early-stage companies, Preclinical and Clinical CRO services for domestic and international clients, and an Education and Conference Centre.

This project is part of ELPEN's larger investment program, which is projected to reach 380 million euros by 2030. The company currently maintains a strong export presence, distributing products to more than 90 countries.
