Elqui Valley students participate in English immersion workshops
Approximately 200 students from nine public schools in Paihuano and Vicuña participated in English immersion workshops held on October 1 and 2 in the Elqui Valley. The initiative, driven by Fundación Educacional Oportunidad in collaboration with SLEP Elqui, focused on primary school children, particularly those in first and second grade.
The program utilized interactive methods such as songs, stories, games, and movement to increase language exposure and strengthen auditory comprehension. Participants included students from several schools, including Mario Aquiles, Gabriela Mistral, Jerónimo Godoy, and Cielo Claro in Paihuano, as well as Juan Torres Martínez, Ríos de Elqui, Paula Jaraquemada, David Rojas, and Edmundo Vidal Cárdenas in Vicuña.
