Elye Wahi returns to OGC Nice as Ellyes Skhiri joins 1. FC Köln
Elye Wahi has officially returned to OGC Nice on a season-long loan from Eintracht Frankfurt. The 23-year-old striker, who previously played for Nice during the second half of the 2025/26 season, was greeted by enthusiastic supporters at the Nice airport. The deal includes a purchase option estimated to be between 15 and 18 million euros. This move allows Eintracht Frankfurt to remove Wahi from their payroll following a difficult period in Germany where he struggled to secure a regular starting position.
In separate transfer news, Tunisian international Ellyes Skhiri has completed a move from Eintracht Frankfurt to 1. FC Köln. Skhiri, who previously played for Cologne between 2019 and 2023, has signed a contract until June 2028. The transfer fee is estimated at approximately 2 million euros. Skhiri expressed his happiness regarding the return to a familiar environment after a challenging period in Frankfurt.
Eintracht Frankfurt continues to manage significant squad changes ahead of the transfer deadline, having already seen several departures this August.
