Emayatzy Corinealdi discusses Jax’s character arc in Hulu’s Reasonable Doubt

In an exclusive interview, actress Emayatzy Corinealdi discussed the upcoming Season 4 of Hulu’s ‘Reasonable Doubt’. She teased a turbulent storyline for her character, Jax Stewart, who is struggling with the aftermath of a shooting.

Jax is depicted as developing a dangerous dependency on prescription painkillers to mask emotional pain and physical trauma. The character’s downward spiral includes a desperate moment where she licks a courthouse sink to retrieve a dropped pill. Corinealdi noted that while Jax attempts to move forward with her new law firm, her physical recovery does not equate to emotional healing, forcing her to confront long-avoided personal demons.
