Embodied intelligence industry enters industrial verification phase in China

The embodied intelligence industry in China has entered a critical “verification period” as the market scale is projected to exceed 1 trillion yuan by 2026. Following the listing of Unitree Robotics on the Shanghai Stock Exchange, the industry focus is shifting from theoretical model debates to delivering real-world industrial data and commercialized results.

Key players are differentiating themselves through various technical routes. ZhiPingFang, a leading unicorn in the Greater Bay Area, utilizes a brain-inspired VLA (Vision-Language-Action) architecture, with its robots already deployed in semiconductor display, biomedicine, and automotive manufacturing. Other notable companies include Galbot, which focuses on simulation-based synthetic data, and AgentiCenter, which provides an industrial agent foundation to connect robot perception with business rules and engineering data.

Government policy is also driving this transition. The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission have launched initiatives to promote humanoid robots and embodied intelligence in practical scenarios such as manufacturing, warehousing, and emergency rescue. The industry is moving away from mere capability demonstrations toward engineering verification and large-scale commercial deployment.
