Embraer delivers first C-390 Millennium to Uzbekistan

Embraer has delivered the first C-390 Millennium multi-mission transport aircraft to the Uzbekistan Air Force. The delivery took place on September 25 at Embraer’s facility in Gavião Peixoto, Brazil.

Uzbekistan becomes the first operator of the C-390 Millennium in Central Asia. The agreement, signed in late 2024, includes the aircraft, a comprehensive training and support package, and the supply of spare parts. The contract covers two aircraft in total.

The C-390 is designed for various roles, including cargo and troop transport, medical evacuation, search and rescue, firefighting, and humanitarian operations. It features a payload capacity of up to 26 tonnes, a maximum speed of approximately 470 knots, and the ability to operate from unpaved runways. It can also function as an aerial refueler when equipped.

This acquisition is part of Uzbekistan’s efforts to modernize its military air mobility capabilities and replace older Soviet-era transport aircraft. One specific aircraft delivered (MSN 39000019) was originally designated for the Brazilian Air Force before being redirected to Uzbekistan following changes in Brazil's procurement requirements.
