Latam Brazil expands domestic network with new Embraer E195‑E2 jets
Latam Airlines Brazil announced the first phase of its fleet renewal with Embraer E195‑E2 aircraft. The carrier will receive up to 14 jets between November 2026 and March 2027, operating on 42 domestic routes. Eight new routes will start in the initial rollout, linking Guarulhos to Cabo Frio, Ji‑Paraná, Rondonópolis, Macaé, Ribeirão Preto, Londrina, Cuiabá and Viracopos, and creating four new bases in those cities. The expansion will raise Latam’s domestic network to 67 destinations, the largest in its history.
The E195‑E2 seats 136 passengers with a Premium Economy cabin, Wi‑Fi, USB‑C power and in‑flight entertainment. CEO Jerome Cadier highlighted the need for a long‑term aviation plan for Brazil and said the new aircraft will improve efficiency on both new and existing markets. The first jet has already received its engines and is moving toward cabin certification, confirming the rollout schedule.
Latam expects the new capacity to boost connectivity, support tourism in the newly served regions and sustain growth despite higher fuel costs.
