Latam expands domestic network with Embraer E195‑E2 jets FAST-MOVING

Latam Airlines Brazil confirmed that the first phase of its Embraer E195‑E2 operation will begin in November 2026. The airline plans to introduce up to 14 of the 24‑aircraft order by March 2027, adding eight new routes and establishing four new bases in Cabo Frio (RJ), Ji‑Paraná (RO), Macaé (RJ) and Rondonópolis (MT). This expansion will bring Latam’s domestic network to 67 cities, the largest coverage in its history.

The first E195‑E2 aircraft has already received its Pratt & Whitney engines and is moving to cabin certification by Brazil’s aviation regulator ANAC. CEO Jerome Cadier said the new model will improve operational efficiency, allowing the airline to replace multiple daily flights with a single E2 and to serve smaller markets more profitably. He also called for a long‑term national aviation plan to sustain growth.

Latam revised its 2026 financial projections upward, citing the E2 rollout as a key driver of future earnings.
