Embraer sets $34.5 bn order backlog record for seventh straight quarter

Embraer announced that its order backlog reached US$34.5 billion at the close of the second quarter of 2026, a 7 % increase from the previous quarter and 16 % above the level a year earlier. This marks the seventh consecutive quarter in which the Brazilian aircraft maker posted a record backlog.

The commercial aviation segment contributed US$15.1 billion, up 15 % year‑on‑year, helped by a new order for 15 E195‑E2 jets from Azorra that pushed the E2 program past 500 firm orders. Executive aviation logged US$7.8 billion, a 5 % rise, supported by the simultaneous certification of the Praetor 500E and Praetor 600E by Brazil’s ANAC, the U.S. FAA and Europe’s EASA. Defence & Security added US$6.1 billion, a 42 % jump, driven by a historic deal with the United Arab Emirates for the C‑390 Millennium (10 firm orders and 10 options), the largest single‑country order for that aircraft. Services & Support recorded US$5.5 billion, up 12 %.

Overall, Embraer posted a 12‑month book‑to‑bill ratio of 1.8 × and secured long‑term support contracts with Jazz Aviation and the Brazilian Air Force, underscoring strong demand across its four main business units.
