EMCALI announces utility maintenance in Cali and Yumbo

EMCALI, the municipal companies of Cali, has announced various maintenance and repair works scheduled for Friday, October 9, 2026. These interventions target the city's water, energy, and sewage systems to optimize infrastructure and normalize service.

Water service interruptions or low pressure are expected in several Cali neighborhoods, including Ciudad Pacífica, El Porvenir, Santa Rita, Benjamín Herrera, La Libertad, Terrón Colorado, and Mojica. Additionally, work will take place in the Acopi industrial zone in Yumbo to install a 36-inch T-junction in the potable water distribution network. EMCALI will provide water tankers to assist affected users.

Electrical maintenance will involve transformer replacements in the El Carmelo and La Sirena circuits, as well as repairs to lines affected by fallen trees in the La Base circuit. Other electrical works include inspections in the La Buitrera and Kilómetro 18 circuits. Sewage maintenance will focus on cleaning the Guarruz sand trap and the Nápoles canal.
