Utility maintenance in Colombian municipalities

Overview

Various municipalities in Colombia have scheduled maintenance and repairs for public utility infrastructure.

In El Espinal and Chicoral, water services are set for temporary suspension on October 20 and 21 due to maintenance on the Bocatoma Coello gates by the UsoCoello association. The local utility, Empresa de Acueducto, Alcantarillado y Aseo de El Espinal, indicated that restoring full pressure may take 24 to 48 hours following the completion of repairs.

In Cali and Yumbo, EMCALI announced maintenance for water, energy, and sewage systems on October 9. Expected water service interruptions or low pressure will affect several Cali neighborhoods, including Ciudad Pacífica and Santa Rita, while work in the Acopi industrial zone involves installing a new T-junction in the potable water network. Electrical maintenance includes transformer replacements and line repairs, while sewage works will focus on cleaning sand traps and canals.
