Indonesia defeats Oman 3-0 as goalkeeper Emil Audero shines
Indonesia's national football team beat Oman 3‑0 on 5 June 2026 at Jakarta’s Gelora Bung Kota stadium. The victory ended a 38‑year winless streak against the Middle‑East side.
Keeper Emil Audero made four key saves, including a decisive penalty stop from Hatem Al‑Rushadi in the 38th minute. Audero said staying focused was essential, while coach John Herdman praised his performance, saying “Angkat topi buat orang ini” and highlighting the goalkeeper’s role in launching attacks from the back.
Goals came from Justin Hubner, Ole Romeny and Ragnar Oratmangoen. Herdman also noted the win was a collective effort and urged the squad not to become complacent as they prepare for their next FIFA Matchday clash with Mozambique on 9 June 2026.
