Emilia-Romagna allocates 360,000 euros to community cooperatives
The Emilia-Romagna regional government has approved a 360,000 euro fund to support community cooperatives in mountain and inland areas. The initiative aims to develop local services, enhance socio-economic resilience, and combat depopulation in peripheral territories.
The funding is divided into two distinct categories for the 2026 period. Line A allocates 160,000 euros toward projects focused on consolidation and operational continuity to support existing business activities and services. Line B provides 200,000 euros for development projects intended to foster growth.
Regional Councilor for Mountain and Inland Areas, Davide Baruffi, stated that these cooperatives serve as engines for economic, tourist, and employment development. Eligible beneficiaries must be cooperatives registered on the regional list. Grants cover up to 70 percent of eligible expenses, with a maximum limit of 15,000 euros per beneficiary.
