Emilia-Romagna announces student transport subsidies

The Emilia-Romagna region has opened applications for the ‘Salta Su’ program, providing free or discounted local public transport subscriptions for students. The deadline for applications is December 18, 2026.

Primary and lower secondary school students are eligible for free subscriptions. For high school and vocational training (IeFP) students, discounts are available to families with an ISEE (Equivalent Economic Situation Indicator) of 30,000 euros or less. A one-time 15-euro membership fee is required starting this year. Applications must be submitted via the dedicated regional portal.

Additionally, Start Romagna continues its ‘Under 26 Pro’ campaign for students who do not meet the Salta Su requirements but are under the age of 27. Teachers may also use the ‘Carta del Docente’ (Teacher’s Card) to purchase monthly or annual public transport subscriptions through Start Romagna’s Punto Bus locations.
