Emilia-Romagna inaugurates renovated school facilities

Several school renovation projects in the Emilia-Romagna region of Italy have been officially inaugurated. In Borgo San Giacomo, regional assessor Simona Tironi attended the opening of three renovated facilities. This included two new rooms for a nursery school, constructed with eco-friendly, recyclable materials and equipped with photovoltaic panels. The nursery school project, costing approximately 670,000 euros, was funded through PNRR funds. Additionally, primary and secondary schools in the area underwent energy efficiency upgrades involving insulation, solar power, and improved heating and cooling systems.

In Cerredolo, a new primary school was inaugurated following a demolition and reconstruction process. The project involved an investment of approximately 2.1 million euros, with 1.5 million euros provided by PNRR funds, supplemented by energy efficiency funds from the Gestore dei Servizi Energetici (Gse) and 150,000 euros from the Ministry of Education. This opening follows recent inaugurations of childcare facilities in Cavola and Toano, marking a broader period of educational infrastructure renewal in the region.
