Italy regional economic updates: new funds for agriculture and SMEs

Several regional economic initiatives are underway in Italy. In Emilia-Romagna, the ‘Basket Bond’ program, promoted by Bper Banca and Cassa Depositi e Prestiti, has reached approximately 30 million euros in cumulative emissions. Four new minibond issuances totaling 12.1 million euros were completed to support companies including Ecogest S.p.A., Lea-Renergy S.r.l., RM Multimedia S.r.l., and Senzani Brevetti S.p.A. in their growth and innovation plans.

Additionally, the Italian Chamber of Deputies approved the ‘ColtivaItalia’ bill, which allocates roughly 20 million euros to Emilia-Romagna to assist agricultural businesses excluded from previous 2023 flood relief. These funds will support indemnity through the Agricat fund and finance hydraulic risk prevention.

In Puglia, a 60 million euro call has been launched under the 2023-2027 Rural Development Complement to support agricultural competitiveness, ecological transition, and local supply chains. Meanwhile, Liguria has opened a new window for two calls totaling 24.4 million euros to support young farmers and agricultural productivity.
