Emilia-Romagna seeks family feedback on school project

The Emilia-Romagna region has launched a questionnaire to evaluate the “Settembre insieme” (September Together) project. The initiative aims to assess the effectiveness of a pilot program that allowed certain primary schools to open early on August 31 for educational, recreational, and social activities.

In Reggio Emilia, the project provided free extracurricular activities for 680 children across 15 school sites, including 55 children with special needs. The regional government intends to use feedback from families, municipalities, schools, and the third sector to refine the program for a planned regional expansion in the next school year.

Families, including those who did not participate in the pilot, are encouraged to provide input on accessibility, scheduling, services, and organization. The survey remains open until October 31, 2026.
