Emirates reports strong summer passenger numbers and expands network

Emirates reported a strong summer season, carrying over 8.6 million passengers during July and August. The airline is entering the winter season with high booking momentum, particularly in markets such as South Africa, Brazil, India, Egypt, and Ghana. The carrier is currently operating at approximately 93 percent of its pre-disruption capacity.

To support growth, Emirates is accelerating its fleet modernization and network expansion. The airline has retrofitted 104 aircraft and is expanding its Premium Economy service, which is now available on 137 aircraft. New destinations include Helsinki, starting October 1, alongside increased capacity for routes like Accra and Hanoi.

At the Arabian Travel Market, Emirates signed several strategic agreements to bolster tourism. These include partnerships with the Seychelles Tourism Board and the Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority to drive international arrivals through joint marketing and bespoke travel packages. The airline also reached a memorandum with Kuwait Airways to transition its interline cooperation into a mutual code-sharing agreement.
