Emma Coronel announces end of US supervised release

Emma Coronel Aispuro, wife of Joaquín “El Chapo” Guzmán, announced during a live stream on the Kick platform that her supervised release in the United States has concluded one year earlier than originally scheduled.

Coronel stated that her legal supervision, which was expected to last until September 2027, was terminated by a federal judge following an investigation into her behavior and compliance with court conditions. “My legal problems, my legal situation that started six years ago, have ended. No more probation, no more legal problems. I am internationally free,” she declared.

The former beauty queen, who was detained in February 2021 and served a 36-month prison sentence for drug trafficking and money laundering, noted that while she might still face informal monitoring, her formal legal obligations to the US government have ceased.
