EMP Recycling provides free electronic waste pickup across Kaunas district

EMP Recycling, the largest electronics recycling firm in the Baltic region, has introduced a free collection service called “Atliekų Taxi” for households in Lithuania's Kaunas district. The service covers the towns of Jonava, Kaišiadorys, Kėdainiai and surrounding villages. Residents can have old refrigerators, washing machines, microwaves, televisions and other unused electrical appliances removed at no charge. Registration is available online or by calling 1806, and the company can often schedule a visit within a day, or within 1‑3 business days for locations farther from Kaunas city. There are no limits on the quantity or weight of items, and the collection team handles all transport and loading, requiring only that devices be disconnected from utilities. The initiative aims to simplify waste handling for citizens and increase proper recycling of electronic waste.
