Concurrently, the Environmental Protection Department (AAD) has reinforced regulations regarding the classification of waste. The department issued a reminder that electrical and electronic equipment (EEE) waste cannot be accepted or processed as metal scrap. Only waste managers specifically registered to handle such materials are permitted to accept EEE waste. Processors found with electronic waste during scrap acceptance must separate the items and record their specific waste codes, as failure to comply with these management requirements may lead to administrative liability.
