Empik and CeX open new stores in Polish shopping centres
Polish retailer Empik launched a new multi‑category store, including Empik Foto, in the Przystanek Karkonosze shopping centre near Karpacz. The outlet offers books, music, toys, stationery, gifts and other lifestyle products, aiming to attract both local shoppers and tourists, including visitors from Germany and the Czech Republic.
Separately, the international recommerce chain CeX opened a 120 m² store in the Galeria Pomorska mall in Bydgoszcz. The shop sells and buys used electronics and games, expanding the centre’s tenant mix and supporting circular‑economy initiatives. Both openings reflect a broader trend of Polish malls diversifying their offerings to meet evolving consumer demand.
