Employment agencies in Olt and Dâmbovița report job growth
Employment agencies in the Romanian counties of Olt and Dâmbovița reported significant job placement figures for the first seven months of 2026.
In Olt, the County Agency for Employment (AJOFM) mediated the hiring of 1,376 individuals. The largest demographic group employed consists of people over 45 years old, totaling 805 placements. The distribution between rural and urban residents is nearly equal, with 700 from rural areas and 676 from urban areas. Regarding education levels, 601 individuals held high school or post-secondary studies.
In Dâmbovița, AJOFM reported that 1,894 people found employment through the National Labor Force Employment Program. This group included 982 women. Similar to Olt, a significant portion of the workforce is older, with 953 people over the age of 45. Rural residents were more heavily represented in Dâmbovița, accounting for 1,344 of the total placements compared to 550 from urban areas. The agency also noted that 347 individuals were classified as difficult or very difficult to employ.
