Overview
Employment agencies in Romania have reported significant job placement activity and are launching new initiatives to support the labor market.
In the first seven months of 2026, agencies in Olt and Dâmbovița reported high placement numbers. In Olt, 1,376 individuals were hired, with a notable demographic of 805 people over the age of 45. In Dâmbovița, 1,894 people found employment, including 982 women and a high number of rural residents.
To further facilitate employment, agencies are implementing targeted programs. In Vaslui, a job fair is scheduled for October 2026 to connect graduates and job seekers with employers. Additionally, the HOPE project, funded by the European Social Fund Plus, is providing activation bonuses and hiring subsidies to support long-term unemployed individuals, refugees, and marginalized communities.
