Endesa to invest 15.2 million euros in Menorca's power grid

Endesa has presented an investment plan to the Consell de Menorca to upgrade the island's electricity distribution network for the 2027-2030 period. The plan involves a total investment of over 15.2 million euros and includes 112 specific actions designed to increase the capacity and resilience of the distribution grids.

The investments are distributed across several municipalities: 4.4 million euros in Es Mercadal, 4.3 million euros in Maó, 3.2 million euros in Ciutadella, 2.5 million euros in Alaior, and approximately 833,000 euros in Sant Lluís. These actions will impact more than 64 kilometers of the network, focusing primarily on medium-voltage lines.

Additionally, the company is conducting a load reconfiguration study to improve network operability and is developing a complementary plan for low-voltage networks. Implementation will proceed progressively as permits and authorizations are obtained from relevant authorities.
