Enea Bastianini joins Trackhouse Racing for 2027 MotoGP season
Enea Bastianini has signed a two-year contract to join Trackhouse Racing for the 2027 and 2028 MotoGP seasons. The Italian rider, currently with Tech3 KTM, will move to the Aprilia satellite team, replacing Ai Ogura, who is departing for the Yamaha factory team.
Bastianini will partner with Raul Fernandez, who recently extended his contract through 2028. The move coincides with a major technical overhaul in MotoGP, as the championship transitions to 850cc engines, new tire regulations, and reduced aerodynamics in 2027.
Bastianini, a former Moto2 World Champion and six-time MotoGP race winner, expressed enthusiasm for the new challenge, stating he aims to use his experience to help develop the new Aprilia RS-GP. Trackhouse owner Justin Marks noted that Bastianini’s racing pedigree and experience at the highest level make him a perfect fit for the team’s ambitious goals.
