Brazil's Enem 2026 registration fee deadline expires

Applicants for the 2026 National High School Exam (Enem) in Brazil must complete payment of the R$ 85 registration fee by 23:59 on Monday, 22 June. The payment slip (GRU Cobrança) is generated on the Inep “Participant Page” and can be settled via Pix, credit card, debit, bank transfer, or at lottery houses and bank branches. Payments made in duplicate or for an amount other than R$ 85 are not refunded, and the fee is non‑refundable unless the exam edition is cancelled.

The Ministry of Education (MEC) and Inep extended the payment window, which now runs from 25 May to 22 June. Candidates who do not pay by the deadline will have their registration invalidated and cannot sit for the exam scheduled for 8 and 15 November 2026.

Exemptions from the fee apply to students enrolled in the third year of public high schools, those who completed all high‑school studies in public schools or as full‑scholarship private‑school students with family income up to 1.5 minimum wages, participants in the MEC “Pé‑de‑Meia” programme, and individuals registered in the federal CadÚnico low‑income registry.
