Energie AG expands electric mobility infrastructure via hotel partnerships
Energie AG is expanding electric mobility infrastructure through strategic partnerships with the hospitality industry. A pilot project in the Bad Ischl region at the Grand Hotel Elisabeth demonstrates this approach, providing comprehensive charging options for both hotel guests and external users.
The installation includes 20 AC charging points distributed across the hotel's underground garage and public parking areas. Additionally, the project features high-power DC fast-charging stations capable of up to 200 kW to reduce waiting times. Since its implementation, the site has recorded over 150 charging sessions per month, consuming approximately 3,000 kWh of electricity monthly.
Sonja Kaiser, head of the E-Mobility department at Energie AG, stated that the company aims to make electric mobility accessible and practical across Austria, targeting tourism areas, residential buildings, and major transport routes.
