Energy companies expand global energy storage footprint

Several major energy companies are expanding their global footprint in the energy storage sector. Tianqi Hongyuan has secured a 1GWh energy storage product supply cooperation project in the United Kingdom, with an initial 250MWh batch scheduled for delivery within one year to support community energy retrofitting and green infrastructure.

In Australia, SAJ has entered a strategic partnership with distributor Supply Partners to launch its EK70 all-in-one residential energy storage system, alongside its B2S split-type and commercial and industrial products. Meanwhile, Jinko ESS has deployed a 23MWh commercial and industrial energy storage project.

Solar manufacturer LONGi is also transitioning into a combined solar-plus-storage provider through its ‘LONGi ONE’ strategy. Aiming to provide full-stack solutions, the company recently launched its solution in Egypt as part of a broader plan to establish 30 localized ‘Centers of Excellence’ globally by 2028 to manage battery operations and technical support.
