Energy conferences in Czech Republic and Slovakia to focus on hydrogen and decarbonization

Major energy and climate conferences are scheduled to address the transition toward decarbonization and energy security in Europe.

The 29th International Energy and Environment Conference (IEEC) will take place in Ostravice, Czech Republic, from September 7 to 9. The event will bring together scientists and industry experts from Europe and Asia to discuss hydrogen technologies, long-term energy storage, artificial intelligence, and the circular economy. Key topics include the practical application of hydrogen in energy transformation, as presented by representatives from ČEZ, and research into new materials for energy storage.

Additionally, the CARBON DAY / ESG 2026 conference is set for October 8-9, 2025, in Bratislava, Slovakia. Organized by EKOS PLUS, this event focuses on EU and Slovak climate-energy policy, the EU ETS emissions trading system, and the financing of decarbonization projects. The conference aims to facilitate the exchange of information regarding industrial competitiveness and the implementation of decarbonization solutions.
