Central European energy and decarbonization conferences

Overview

Upcoming energy and climate conferences in Central Europe are set to address decarbonization, energy security, and the transition toward sustainable technologies.

In the Czech Republic, the 29th International Energy and Environment Conference (IEEC) is scheduled for September 7–9 in Ostravice. The event will convene scientists and industry experts from Europe and Asia to discuss hydrogen technologies, long-term energy storage, fuel cells, artificial intelligence, and the circular economy. Specific focus will be placed on the practical application of hydrogen in energy transformation, including presentations from ČEZ regarding technology readiness and electrolyzers.

Additionally, the CARBON DAY / ESG 2026 conference is planned for October 8–9 in Bratislava, Slovakia. This event will focus on EU and Slovak climate-energy policy, the EU ETS emissions trading system, and the financing of decarbonization projects to support industrial competitiveness.
