Enforcement Directorate attaches ₹442 crore in assets from Gameskraft Technologies

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has attached assets worth ₹442.35 crore belonging to Gameskraft Technologies and RummyTime Technologies in a money laundering investigation. The attachment, issued under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), includes fixed deposits, commercial shops, a villa, and various residential properties held by shareholders, their family members, and private family trusts.

With this latest action, the total value of assets frozen in this case has reached ₹2,843 crore. The investigation follows multiple FIRs registered in Telangana regarding cheating offenses. The ED alleges that the companies operated online real money games (RMGs) through brands such as RummyCulture, RummyPrime, Playship, and RummyTime, serving approximately three crore users across India.

Investigators claim the platforms targeted users in states where online real money gaming is prohibited, including Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, and Tamil Nadu. Furthermore, the ED alleges the companies used automated bots and algorithms to manipulate games without user consent, causing financial losses to players while generating illegal proceeds for the companies. The agencies also noted that the companies spent approximately ₹1,035 crore on marketing and promotions to attract users through bonuses and incentives.
