Gameskraft Technologies money laundering investigation

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has attached assets worth ₹442.35 crore belonging to Gameskraft Technologies and RummyTime Technologies as part of a money laundering investigation under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA). The seized assets include fixed deposits, commercial shops, a villa, and residential properties held by shareholders and family trusts.

This action brings the total value of frozen assets in the case to ₹2,843 crore. The investigation stems from multiple FIRs in Telangana regarding cheating offenses. Investigators allege the companies operated online real money games (RMGs) through brands such as RummyCulture and RummyTime, targeting users in states where such gaming is prohibited, including Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, and Tamil Nadu.

Furthermore, the ED claims the platforms used automated bots and algorithms to manipulate games without user consent, causing financial losses to players while generating illegal proceeds. The agencies also noted that approximately ₹1,035 crore was spent on marketing and promotions to attract users through bonuses and incentives.
