ENOSA removes illegal electrical connections in Piura
The electricity company ENOSA conducted an operation in the Veintiséis de Octubre district of Piura, Peru, to remove illegal electrical connections. Supported by the National Police of Peru, the intervention targeted ten different sectors to mitigate risks caused by heavy rains.
During the operation, crews removed 4,480 meters of informal wiring, consisting of 3,880 meters of copper cable and 600 meters of aluminum carrier cable. The accumulation of water and mud from recent rainfall has increased the danger of electrical accidents, as deteriorated connections can be hidden beneath the surface, potentially causing sparks, smoke, or electric shocks to residents and pedestrians.
