ENS opens new teacher training center in Bouaké
The École Normale Supérieure (ENS) has opened a new regional branch in Bouaké, Côte d'Ivoire, designed to accommodate approximately 1,500 student-teachers annually through a pedagogical rotation system.
The facility includes a 650-seat amphitheater, 11 tutorial rooms, four computer labs, and specialized laboratories for physics, chemistry, life and earth sciences, and languages. It also features administrative offices, a library, and a restaurant to support professional, scientific, and digital skill development.
Construction of the Bouaké campus was funded by a 7.5 billion FCFA investment from the United States government as part of the Compact-Côte d'Ivoire. The project is implemented by the Ivorian state with support from the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC). This new site, alongside the San Pedro branch, aims to increase the institution's total annual training capacity by nearly 3,000 students.
