Ensenada announces Mexican Independence Day celebrations

The government of Ensenada has announced a program of activities to commemorate the 216th anniversary of Mexico's Independence on September 15 and 16.

Scheduled events include a cultural and recreational program at the Casa Municipal explanada, featuring a performance by the musical group Sonora Dinamita. The festivities will also include the 'Señorita Fiestas Patrias' pageant and the traditional 'Grito de Independencia' ceremony led by Mayor Claudia Agatón Muñiz.

On September 16, the celebrations will continue with a civic ceremony involving civil, military, and naval authorities, followed by a traditional civic-military parade through the downtown area. Local authorities are implementing security operations, including approximately 100 municipal police officers and emergency services, to ensure public safety during the events.
