Entre Ríos labor code reform aims to reduce litigation

The Unión de Aseguradoras de Riesgos del Trabajo (UART) has expressed support for a proposed reform of the Labor Procedural Code in Entre Ríos, Argentina. The project aims to address rising litigation rates, which saw a 38% increase in lawsuits between September 2025 and August 2026.

Key components of the reform include the creation of a Specialized Body of Medical Professionals under the Judiciary, the mandatory application of current medical scales (Baremo), and the decoupling of expert witness fees from the total amount of the lawsuit or the percentage of disability determined. UART stated these measures are necessary to provide predictability and objectivity to the system.
