Entre Ríos officials present book on 1852 historical resistance

Vice Governor Alicia Aluani and Senator Martín Oliva presented the book ‘21N: el día en que una ciudad entrerriana salvó a la organización nacional’ at the General Archive of Entre Ríos. Published by the Universidad de Concepción del Uruguay (UCU), the work examines a historical event from November 21, 1852, when the residents of Concepción del Uruguay defeated an armed expedition from Buenos Aires ordered by Governor Valentín Alsina.

The presentation took place during the bicentennial commemorations of the elevation of Paraná and Uruguay to city status. Aluani emphasized the role of various social sectors, including civilians, students, and women, in the resistance against military action, noting the importance of community unity in defending regional interests and building the nation.
