Argentina provinces launch economic relief and investment initiatives

In Argentina, several provincial governments are implementing economic measures to support local industries and citizens. In Tierra del Fuego, Governor Gustavo Melella announced that the Banco de Tierra del Fuego (BTF) will lower interest rates on credit cards and personal loans starting September 1. These measures aim to provide debt relief to families facing high levels of indebtedness.

In Entre Ríos, Governor Rogelio Frigerio is working with the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) to operationalize the new Investment and Foreign Trade Promotion Agency. This collaboration focuses on providing technical assistance and strengthening the capacity of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to compete in international markets.

Additionally, the province of Corrientes has launched a call for industrial investment projects through the Industrial Development Fund (Fodin). The program offers non-reimbursable contributions for technological investment, personnel hiring, and interest rate subsidies for industrial credits, with applications open until September 23.
