Entre Ríos pension reform implementation reported as successful

Gastón Bagnat, president of the Caja de Jubilaciones y Pensiones de Entre Ríos, provided a 60-day assessment of the province's new pension system. He stated that the reform was “technically implemented to perfection” and noted that no beneficiary received less than the previous month.

During the transition, the agency managed approximately 3,000 files, processing 800 benefits—including 600 retirements and 200 pensions—within a 26-day period in October. Bagnat addressed the challenges of the transition, noting that while there is a high volume of work, the only legal injunction regarding the reform was successfully defended by the province.

Bagnat attributed some public hesitation to a cultural shift, as retirees no longer see their specific former employment scales (such as Vialidad) on their pay stubs, instead being classified as provincial retirees. He added that while the recent mobility adjustment was delayed due to teacher collective bargaining, the process has proceeded correctly.
