Entre Ríos economic and social policy developments
Overview
In Entre Ríos, economic activity showed a downward trend in mid-2026, with a 2% year-on-year decline reported for June. While certain agro-industrial sectors like rice, soy, and wheat milling experienced growth, bovine slaughtering fell by 7% and vehicle registrations decreased by 21%.
Concurrently, the province has seen developments in social and administrative reforms. A Sustainable Social Inclusion Survey project in Bahía Blanca received a 10 million peso grant through the Social Sciences and Humanities Innovation Fund to improve public policy support. Additionally, the provincial pension system underwent a reform process. Gastón Bagnat, president of the Caja de Jubilaciones y Pensiones de Entre Ríos, reported that the reform was “technically implemented to perfection,” noting that the agency successfully processed hundreds of benefits during the transition and defended the province against legal injunctions.
